I attribute my academic and athletic success to being consistent in everything I do on and off the playing field as well as the classroom. My perseverance has been the key to opening many doors of greatness in anything and everything I have been involved in throughout high school.
My parents have been very instrumental in paving the road that leads to success. It meant the world to me watching my parents work together as they prepared me for today. I truly feel prepared to embark on this new path of my life. Mommy and dad, I thank you.
My favorite quote comes from the book of Proverbs 28:1 - the wicked will flee when no one pursues but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
My favorite athletes are my parents, you do have to be in top shape in rearing today’s generation; you know? I have dreams of becoming an anesthesiologist and a chance to play as long as I can in The National Football League. I am Winston A. Jackson Jr. I will attend Georgetown University on a football scholarship.
I share the same birthday as my paternal grandmother; that special day is February 28, 1997. It has not always been easy for me but I thank God every day for the people who have come into my life. You know, it takes a village to raise a child. I feel blessed because as I am looking around, surprisingly I see that the village for me has increased. With this continued support, I am without a doubt on my way to becoming a productive citizen.
My only request is that you continue to embrace me as I step boldly into the next phase of my life.
To my parents, I want to thank you for all that you have done. Through the good times and bad times we stayed together and that is what a team is supposed to do.
The seed that endures the most mud and rain turns out to be the most beautiful rose. Mom, you are my rose. Dad, when we give of ourselves, nothing is truly lost. Thank you for all of the sacrifices.
I am Melvin Brooks III and I can, I will, I shall graduate from Charleston Southern University.
I am 18 years old. Born on September 19, 1996, in Pompano Beach FL. Currently I live with my father in Coral Springs. I won athlete of the year and also MVP in grades 6-8.
My parents have been the best with making sure I am the humble person that I have become. My dad has been a great man in standing in the gap during a very crucial stage of my life. I am proud of his relentless attitude, as he remained very instrumental in paving the way for my siblings and me. Dad, I have not been perfect but I want to let you know that your efforts won’t be forgotten.
I promise to make you proud of me. Mom, you are the queen of my heart and I want to dedicate this evening to the times you lifted me up. I thank God for you. To my step mom, I appreciate the many years of sacrifices. I want you to know that I am who I am because you are who you are. My favorite quote is: “No success or failure is ever final so continue to strive for greatness!”
I am Joe Riggins Jr. and I will attend Utah State University.
I’ve played two sports throughout my entire life. As a varsity participant, I excelled in both basketball and football. In an effort to develop my body and mind for college, I basically, maintained a strict routine that encompassed most of my free time. My favorite quote is simply: “Never give up!”
I am a football player but I look up to Kobe Bryant because of his impeccable work ethic. Kobe Bryant never quits and that makes his talent so unbelievable. So, I pray one day I can develop the mentality of Kobe Bryant. My dream is becoming a player in the National Football League. My mom,
dad and family have been very supportive of my endeavors and I am eager to make such an impact that would create an atmosphere of pride within the McIntosh household.
I am Richard McIntosh Jr. I will attend The University of Miami on a Football scholarship.
